i plan on building a website for the company i work for and i would like it to run a php content management system much like we use here at pctt.
this isnt something i've been asked to do but if you had seen the current site you'll know why i want to, its embarrasing! my question is this; to keep costs to a minimum while building it and setting it up i plan to run the site from one of my home machines - this also ensures it isnt public before its been approved. I have a pc to run it on ( A7V133 1.2ghz Athlon SLK 97U 512mb Ram GF4ti 4200 64mb winxp home) but need to know what i have to install/configure to set it up, mysql, apachie, nephp, anything else? advice/links desperatly needed as despite working here i'm a PHP Newb ![]()

ehhhh linux?
![]() I think pasty has experience with Apache/PHP on DOS. I've done it a while ago too, on a win2k machine, at that moment it was a matter of finding the right .exe files to doubleclick and next next next. try your luck here: http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/ http://www.php.net/downloads.php

Can't really help 'ya on the PHP issue, but if you're needing a nice look to it, I can certainly lend a hand in that department bud
