I would do it by pressing F11 in Opera or IE (Opera rulez btw) and with printscreen importing it in .bmp file. May sound dumb but..... I can't think of any other way now. Maybe some kind of app will do it.

Enable active desktop and fidlle around with IE (try the menus) to set the webpage as wallpaper, or try if you can get any further with the Active Desktop tab of the display properties (right-click your desktop, select properties)

Step 1- Enable Active Desktop
Step 2 -

Go to

Desktop Properties - Desktop - Customize Desktop - Web , Add new item which will be your .html document. Then, once you have done it, it will appear on the dekstop, and then you can re-size it using the arrows around it.

Okay, I did all of that. Now the only question is how do I get more than 3-5 pages deep into my web page ( .html doc). it only lets you go so far when you click on the links and also how do I get it to open these links on the background and not in a new window.

Im not sure what you mean by 3-5 pages deep into my web page. If you have linked it your html doc like <a href="contact.html"> it should browse in the window that is open. Alternatively, you can link via doing the full length target, ie C:\MyHTML\contact.html .
