Firewall Questions
Ok I use sygate personal firewall pro.
I keep getting hits from my ISP Cox Communications to my firewall and I don't know why. Does anyone have any idea why they keep doing this? Is it something to do with changing my IP or something? I would like to figure it out without having to call them but i am getting ready to call them soon. I attached a picture of what i get. |

i keep geting the same and i wrote to them and got this reply
Are Abuse department will scan all connections to ensure that the terms held in our Acceptable Use Policy are being met. This can be done as offen as we deem necessary. You have not mentioned whether this is coming from blueyonder or another ISP. If this is from another ISP then you will need to report this issue to the relevant abuse team. this is with blueyonder in england |

alot of the time some ISPs do it for self defense too, they check that the latest worm / virus hasn't tagged along for a ride, and opened a port or 2.
If one is detected, your ISP may email you.
