How do u add a counter

Ive designed my site need help on one thing

I would like to add a counter for how many downloads
of my songs there will be

you can get a free counter from bravenet.com (i think)
but ive neva used one so i dont know if they work

is another free one, I use it myself on my old tiberian sun web site and find it works well, it also gives a fairly good stats report once a week so you can see how your trafic is distributed (even down to the isp's of those using your site and the type of browser they viewed it with)

you need serverside scripting if you want to know how many time a particular file is downloaded. Or you should have access to the webserver's logfile.
