Hey i have been outta circulation for a while and i was just wondering what is the best video card now??

Probably the FX6800GT for Nvidia.... dunno for ATI (x800Pro, or something like that).

Oopsy. It turned out that there is a 6800Ultra and X800XT
Probably every card has its advantages and disadvantages. So if you're looking for a particular game probably you should find some online tests for it and both cards. And another thing worth mentioning - these are not available in AGP version *me thinks. Only PCIex for the high-end class. AGP was considered for 6600 and X700, but not for the monsters

ATI just paper-launched the XT 850 PE for a bargain price of 550 $... And you have the GeForce 6800 Ultra for about the same price. But if you truly want the best of the best, and have big bucks to burn, you may be interested in a SLI configuration with two GeForce 6800 Ultra
