GF FX 5700LE Problems

Howdy all!

I have a weird problem with a new BFG 5700LE. I'm getting flashing textures when I play Call of Duty /COD:UO. I can't be sure it's not the card, but I suspect it isn't. It doesn't happen in "older" games.

So far, I've : Unistalled the drivers using a removal utility & tried all driver versions from the 41's to the newest betas & updated the motherboard BIOS. I've been able to swap with other cards, but I don't have another computer to test it in at the moment.

I've search the internet and have seem similar issues, mostly blaming the drivers, but haven't found a definitive solution yet.

Anyone have any ideas? One thing I haven't tried is 3DMark, but I'll check that out once I get home.

System specs:

XP2500 barton
MSI KT6V with the latest BIOS
1GB Kingston PC3200
Maxtor 120GB SATA HDD
Antec True Power 420W PS
Windows XP SP2 with DX9c
NVidia 66.72 drivers

Well, I went out and replaced the card with an Albatron 5700le 256.

Guess what? No more problems. And it was $30 less that the BFG 5700le

I think it might have something to do with the fact the card is overclocked. Maybe it was just cooked. Wading through the internet, I found alot of different possible causes & solutions, ranging from some sort of incompatibilty with the VIA chipset to raising the voltage slightly.

I STILL notice the problem slightly with the new one, but only looking at certain textures and paying VERY close attention (Something that rarely happens these days )
