New question

I'm going a bit more conservative and getting:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...k_Only_25.html
After reading a couple of reviews and finding out that the above card is recommended a 300W power supply, what is going to happen if i bung it in using my existing 250W supply?
Should I purchase a new power supply?

First try it out with your old PSU. If it needs too much then the PSU won't keep the voltages still and they'll drop. This will make the PC freeze. If so buy a news supply. But...an advice. Don't get just 300W. You can find great 400, 450W supplies at almost the same price as 300. Don't know for your country but here in Bulgaria the 400W Fortron supply is sold for about 50$ and by my observations is 100% worth the money. Good luck

i go with TB on this one, its worth testing out first

if you do need to buy a bigger PSU one fact to remeber is quality is better than quantity - ie a good quality 400 watt PSU will outlast and outperform a white box 550 watt supply.

its worth spending a few £ extra on something that will last...

Ripp is on the nose with Quality.. I swear by Enermax because I have a 350W one that runs everything on my PC.. whereas a 500 W generic I had blew in 30 minutes

hum, enermax... nice

the 350 should service your needs, though i would lean toward getting the 460, but i'm power mad

I can't handle this, i went to buy it just now, and the offer has expired. I'm gonna slit my wrists. Much easier than finding a cheap 9800 Pro.
