Hi,

How can i stop my sound card from using direct memory access (DMA) ?

DMA is the way that your sound card uses to read the main memory without much CPU intervention. I don't think that you can disable DMA in any sound card.

Why would you like to do this?

thanks for the reply,
i fixed my problem now
the reason i wanted to disable it was because when i went to play any music i got an error saying my sound card was in use by dma and i wanted to disable it so i could play music..

but its ok now, i formatted thanks anyway...
