just think of how many movies I could go see on the big screen for twentyfive hundred dollars!!!!!!!! get my drift??
    nudge nudge wink wink

anyhow!! to this day I still haven't figured out how to use CCE.

Just continue to use it as part of DVD2SVCD and you really don't have to mess with the details.

If you want a tutorial, I can point you in the right direction, but I like to keep the converting as simple as possible.

Well, it while it is not included in the DVD2SVCD package software you must use either CCE or TMPGENc to make it work.

..so it is an integral part of making the software work.

I saw that they added it, but I have not tried it.

I pretty much stick with CCE and TMPGENc.

(I am starting to look at making KVCDs using TMPGENc-- it is avi quality and basically lets you put an entire movie onto a single CD-R.

    More Info:

    What is KVCD?
KVCD is a modification to the standard MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 GOP structure and Quantization Matrix. It enables you to create up to 120+ minutes of high quality video, depending on your material, on a single 80 minute CD-R/CD-RW. KVCD templates produce 352x240(288) and 352x480(576) NTSC and PAL MPEG-1 variable bit rate video, from 300Kbps to 1,750Kbps, and audio at 160Kbps. The KVCDx2 templates come in two flavors: One to create up to ~120 minutes of video on one 80 minute CD-R, and another to create up to ~120 minutes of video with near DVD quality, on two CD-R's. They produce 704x480(576) NTSC and PAL MPEG-1 variable bit rate video, from 300Kbps to 2,500Kbps. Please check the new KVCDx3 templates and KVCD_LBR 180 minute template! The mpeg files created will play back in most modern standalone DVD players. You must burn the mpeg files as non-standard VCD with Nero or VCDEasy. now that sounds like something I would really like to check into!!
I'll be checking out that site for sure, but I had a look at tmpgenc after reading your post and I couldn't see anything in the settings about kvcd?? guess I need a newer version of it, I have 2.58 that I've been using because its the one I've had the least problems with!!

    thanks for the tip!!
