I was just using jvpowertools registry cleaner. Noticed that the were quite a few items listed as not safe to remove. These included Symantec/ Norton entries,Musicmatch, Realjukebox/ and Mozilla plug ins. I dont have Norton, MusicMatch or Realjukebox(piece of crap) installed anymore and never had Mozilla. Why are they still there? I don't want them. Is this some safeguard from Symantec that I the novice user doesn't clean up registry to reinstall software to get more free updates or what?
Is there anything I can do to get them outta there? |

You should be safe using the program to remove the registry entries to programs that aren't installed anymore. I am guessing they are still there to preserver the settings that you had at once when the programs were installed. And this way they would still be there if you ever decided to reinstall the software again. Either that or possible spyware but I highly doubt it from better branded software.
