There has been alot of talk about pop-up killer software on alot of forums lately, I think it is good that they are coming out with this stuff. I for one hate pop-up ads, which is why I never need any type of pop-up ad killer because if I go to a site that even launches one pop-up I don't even bother going back. I have always vowed that this site will never have any pop-up ads on it

Oh I agree 100% with you Nutndun, pop ups really really suck. I use a sweet little pop up killer by analogX, its small uses little resorces. My favorite thing about it is that is kills pop ups that you program into...

I use a program called Proximitron on all of my computers. Like Fister's it uses no system resources. You just point your browser to go through it. And the only time it slows down is if you have 5+ browsers all loading pages at the same time.
It even stops the pop up from MSN messenger when you connect to the messenger network You can get it here: http://www.mememachinego.com/archives/000066.html

I'm currently using Zone Alarm Pro which includes a good popup stopper. It doen't need any resources other than what ZA already uses. I do find it to be a little too ***bersome to configure but I've gotten used to it.

You might want to check out Mozilla too. It has great options to allow only requested popup windows or kill them all off entirely, as well as quite a few other options regarding them.
