Mac or PC

Hey guys

Ive been given a task to design 3 systems for three different purposes.

Firstly

i have to design a system for someone who needs to make a webpage using text and images.

I must document the hardware and software requirements of the system.

Personally i am a pc user so naturaly would opt for a pc for this task, however as i need to get the best performance for the best price and i hear certain applications run more smoothly on a mac i am curious to what you would pick.

I dont want a one line aswer saying mac of pc i need to know why.

i have also selected

Irfanview
Dreamweaver
firefox

as the main software i think i nesesary to design the site (not including OS etc)

also is there a better web design tool than dreamweaver for a Mac?
