Talking Spybot TeaTime

I have been having an issue with the notifications as you can see from the image I added I did google it and what not but wasnt able to find anything. Im guessing its my system and not the program because they would have fixed something like that by now. Anyone know how I should go about fixing this issue?

^.^ Thanks

If your problem is with the dialog not properly arranging information, that seems to happen with the latest version of SypBot. But some time ago I started using MS Antispyware, and it does a better job at stopping spyware from being installed (which is what the TeaTime does).

Cant say that I care for MS stuff to much so im sticking with spybot. I was thinking it was the program but I would have thought they fix it by now is all. I was thinking maybe I could use reshack to fix it but I wasnt sure if it was the program or just my settings.

Im going to try reshack on it see if I can fix it ill give yall an update when I try it.

MS AntiSpyware (now called Windows Defender) is a good product that you may be missing for no good reason. I have tested it and SoyBot, and the real time protection is far better than the one found in SpyBot. And it's free.

Honestly I have used that crap already.. I didnt care for it much mostly because it did a very bad job. Plus on top of that spybot has a list of tools that ms doesnt even come close to. Also ms doesnt add the bad sites to your host file. It just blocks anything that comes in on microsoft programs aka ie. So unless your using ie as your default its usless when it comes to blocking incoming spyware from the browser page.

MS doesnt support Firefox, opera, or anything else for that matter other then IE. Spybot does so meh I rather use spybot in this case. Also the fact that spybot gives you a high range of tools that ms doesnt even skim is a good plus like ms doesnt have the option to lock you homepage your ie control panel or your host files... Most people might not care about this but I rather spyware programs not edit my host file so lop.com is a trusted website. Ty but........ No...

When I did try ms it did find some stuff that spybot, adaware, and what not didnt find but most of what it did find wasnt really even spyware. For example adaware and spybot both ignore msn plus. A well known added on for msn. Now if you dont install the sponser it doesnt have spyware. Reguardless of that fact ms wants to delete it. Now this is mostly because MS wants what ever reason they can find to stop msn plus from being used. Because it alters a msn program. So like I said ms is more of a pain for me then it is a help. I have four programs I use to check for spyware. Two for virus/trojans etc. Threee popup blockers. Three adaware/spyware blockers. Spybot is a blocker. Spy Sweeoer is another blocker. Super Ad Blocker is also one I use. The amount of programs you can have is almost inf. I just have found over time and with experience what is the best thing fit for me and what works well.

Now im not saying mine is the best but then again nothing would ever be. Im just saying with my experience I know what to use and when to use it on the stuff I do. At one point I had a computer with 698 virus's. So with that being said its safe to say I have learned my lession.

So im sticking with what I got Thanks.

Mines exactly the same! Maybe not quite as bad as I just about click on the accept and decline buttons. I'm a fan, have been since spybot first came out, I can put up with this glitch due to the quality of the proggy.

I should have been more specific . MS Defender is a good product for the average user that is happy with Internet Explorer; add a good antivirus and a firewall, and you should be reasonably protected if some common sense is there .

I use SpyBot a lot, but not at home, I just don't need it there. I use Opera and I know the sites that I visit, no spyware will come from those.

Yes great point big chris. The range of options spybot puts out is wonderful and its worth the small bugs to still use it.

Also igalan I think opera is a wonderful browser and would use it over firefox any day. Buh that is me. Again I still use it because spybot still does protect opera from downloading plugins that can become a big issue for your system. Then again its all users pick. I use ie but I honestly had ms defender.. It was the worse thing I ever used...

As for ie related stuff between spybot and auto protect etc and Super ad blocker (And might i note that this is the best popup blocker I have EVER seen. ) I have no issues also I have been making a few changes to my host file to not only block spyware but ads as well so Im happy with the turn out.

I found a system that works for me and I dare not change it.
Im going to go ahead and add my host file in case someone wants to give it a run. Be sure to backup yours though.

Just to give anyone that wants to try it a basic idea of what I have added etc.
The host file blocks all big ad sites that I have found along with spyware/virus sites. Try if you like or not. Its free couldnt ask for more

I just like the fact that I can open up hotmail and the ads though the box is still around the ads them self dont load. YES THE ANNOYING FLASH ADS ARE GONE!
