problem solved, there was anther program that was out there office 200 sr1 that was about 133 meg that needed to be un-installed.
also there was fragments from office 2000 that didnt get un-installed, that i deleted manually!
i got all the updates!

just for general info....i have no kids of my own...but...
i know alot of single parents that dont have a computer, and i let them use mine, basically doing google searches , and the use word for there reports!
i wanted the upgrade for word for the kids and excel for me lol~
