Video authoring prog needed

Hi there

Ok here goes

I have copyed video to pc etc to mpeg file
Its of a dancer with blue screen as background i would like to add a bground of waterfall or something but the sware i have dont seem to be able to do it

Vegas 3, power director 1.1, Media studio 2.5

I do want to be able bgrounds,splash screens whatever

plz refer me to a prog whatever the price range

You could try virtualDub which is opensource. Or a good mid-level NLE is Adobe Premiere. But Premiere may be out of your price range as it costs around $550. You may also want to check out the cheaper apps from Ulead, Pinnacle or if you have XP, Movie Maker (although it is pretty useless, doesn't hurt to try).

I don't think virtual dub supports blue screen effects in which you can replace it with another animated file. But adobe premiere should do

After playing around with Vegas 3.0 i found it a very powerful editer plus some plug in ive as well

Yes i do have Adode premiere 6.5 with 2 plugins
I do find it a little hard 2 get use 2 though

But my conclusion the chomer key effect in Vegas 3 is QUALITY
