Extraction Problem
Hi guys, I recently downloaded a piece of software (err think "shop" "Photo" and "seven"
) and it was in a compressed form, first of all for some reason the extractor I am using (Winace) did not pick up the file asssociation so I have to Left click to extract, everything seemed to be going fine, maybe extraction was bit slow, but it was a big file and then suddenly just at the end it said it had an error extraction data1.cab!! its like 146Mb or something. So I click ok and thought I would see if the software would still install, so I clicked on Setup and it treid also to extract data1.cab and failed near end it appeared also. I have tried extracting the file again to no prevail. Interestingly I have just seen that the file is and .exe so not really a file that OI should be extracting in winace. do I need to burn it straight onto CD or something or is there something i'm missing please help. I cannot redownload the program as I have 56k modem and is likely to tip me over the edge of my sanity! :hit

my humble opinion is that the file is corrupt???
![]() if it's an .exe file you should be able to just double click to start the setup.does winace says anything to you??

@ orb36O
so the next time you have a problem with some s/w you have paid for, should we also be sarcastic, and tell you, "you should have down loaded it first, and not wasted your money."
I think not, if you can't help, maybe better to pass, while not a flame as such, still bad enough to piss people off, and that not what this forum is about
