Windows XP fax

Ok folks, This is driving me nuts. I have installed, and set up the fax program that comes with XP, and it seems to work properly. It appears to recognize my lucent win modem (although lt doesn't see my external dsl modem). Though fax shows the lucent in the setup, it doesn't connect, as I can't send or receive faxes. I've tried everythink of on the web, but can't find anything that works. I've tried every settring I could find, and yes I put AT&FX in the extra settings, and downloaded the latest update.. I've run out of options, I hope someone out there has some knowledge on this subject. All help greatly appreciated :hitpc
