Right now I use v3.o but maybe I will downgrade...

I use Winamp 2.91 Lite, and only the plugins that come with the install. Minimal is all I need, or want from a player. I pipe my PC through my stero when listening to music anyway. I would definately "downgrade" from 3.0 old bean, but that is just me. :wink3

I only use the plug-ins that come with install, oh and I'm currentely using Winamp 2.91 Full (Wa3 is too "green" yet)

(Right now I'm installing QCD 3.51 let's see if detrones Winamp as my player of choice...)

From wht I hear...Shoutcast dsp plugin doesn't work w/ winamp v3. (someone please correct me if my 'hearsay' is wrong)

yep 2.91... WA3 gave me so many troubles... and its too fancy if ya know what i mean...it has features which will never see the light of day for a normal user...

hmm, tht's odd Fister..
Wht OS? and certainly u've already tried complete v3 uninstall and fresh install of earlier versions.
i nevah liked v3..didn't use it but didn't get around to downgrading until recently wanting to access UTC radio and now PCTT radio. I wiped v3 off XP (uninstall and wiped it's folder traces) and clean installed earlier versions. I'll often clean out registry key trails too..

2.91 is not an older version. It came out after they decided to move away from the 3.xx model. I would try 2.91 Fisty.

Soon Winamp 2.9x will have freeform skin support (Wa3 skining engine), that is going to be cool to see.
I think they were thinking of implementing it on 2.92/2.93 though I'm not sure.

Anyway were probably going to be saying how great Wa3 is in 2 or 3 years from now...


But for now I've dumped Wa it's QCD for me from now on.
