Me 2.91 full with Dfx that well handles all my files mp3 as well as ogg as for video i dont use winamp for it

Thx RB, for the correction/info. I went from 2.81 to 3. and had ignored v3 'cause it sucked, so i didn't even see whn 2.91 came out. Just knew i wanted 3. out and assumed i went backwards, when i finally got around to it.

I think they were thinking of implementing it on 2.92/2.93 though I'm not sure.

Freeform skins will (probably) not be in the 2.x series. They will stick to the original boxy look. Freeform skins will be added to the 2.x platform though, to make a completely new player, winamp"5" (I don't know if they changed the name, no pc to check for any more betas/alphas).

hey fister i used winamp3 for ages i liked the free form skins but it takes up to many resources so i downgraded many people found this and did the same so the winamp team are focusing on winamp 2 and winamp 5 mixing the qualities of 3 and 2 to make it unbelivable i like the sound of winamp 2 with free form BUTwill this not make i hog resources like 3 ???

I use both Winamp 2.8 and Winamp 3.0

Winamp 2.8 for the tite visuals and Winamp 3.0 for the media library and stuff...

So....overall what I am reading is Winamp 2.91 is the best??....cause 3 Sucks....bad....

it is not that 3 sucks it is just it hoggs resources where as if you sacrifice the free form skins then 2.91 will give you just the same but will not take up those resources and 2.91 will soon have free form so there will be no need for 3 !!

Well..I downloaded Winamp 2.91 just a while ago....and in the 3 hours that I have been screwing with it.....I love it..its a Huge improvement over Winamp 3. I also notice that my resources more available for other apps.
