    Unhappy Web Cam Driver Problem

I've bought a new pc package and upon installation of the webcam windows says the driver is not digitally signed I continued with the installation anyway.I can take pictures when disconnected from my pc and get them downloaded but when I try to use video mode connected to pc my system reboots.I tried the manufacturer's site for both pc and cam.The pc site doesn't have it there and the manufacturer does not have and driver update for the product. .please need help.

if there are drivers for win 2000 try them as they have worked with many of the obscure /outdated(never to be supported again)bits of hardware that I have had a problem with and the win 2k drivers have always worked.

An off the wall thing that you might want to try. Because I was having trouble with my cam turn on and off and locking up when I first got xp. But then the web sight finially came up with tips to help. And the main ones were to make sure that the human resource service in xp is running. (And that for some reason I do not have a clue why) Make sure that usb keyboard is enabled in Bios. ( which mine was not because I do not have a usb keyboard but it worked ) Otherwise I would try the 2000 drives like suggested also.
