I downloaded the program and installed it. Than I tried to update it from the web, received a trial version, uninstalled it, but now i can't delete the original file. It won't open or be deleted. Message reads protected or in use. Anybody have any ideas?? Tks

You can't delete something that is running.

You could try killing the process in task manager. Also try to find the entry in msconfig or in the registry that starts it when windows boots.

If none of that works we could be talking about corruption. Fragmentation, physical damage to your drive or a virus (I hate using that excuse) could keep you from deleting it.

If there's no evidence of it running anywhere and still won't unistall, you've got me stumped.

Hope this helps.

Lion7718 will become famous soon enough
Most likely there is a Hidden File somewhere..I had the same problem with Norton Firewall. Do a search for anything called TweakNow, it should show up....
probably in Program Files/Common Files.
