No, that is different. The HOSTS file that SP S&D has, it has had for some time now. I am not totally sure of how the "Immunize" thing works, but I use it, and check it after every update they have to make sure I am immunized.

Usage of a properly configuerd Hosts file was one of the earliest tricks I learned in battling those most *@%$*& Pop-Ups. We had an article in the old UTC database that explained how it worked, but I haven't had the time to look for it since the merge. I feel that it is still here. If I find the link, or u can look as well, I will post it here for you.

As fro adblocking i found a excellent way for blocking off nearly all the ads with Firebird but the same thing can be used in Mozilla or Netscape too i guess.....Follow the link below

Click- Click

userContent.css for XP systems is in following location

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles\default\1fyhduyq.slt\chrome

I think for both Netscape and Mozilla the folder name in application data is Mozilla.....

Immunize prevents known Spyware ActiveX controls from ever being installed (you don't even get that pop up asking if you want to install it.)
You can set IE to accept ActiveX controls, if you have Immunize up to date (you only need to run it once but evey time you dowload updates it's best you Immunize again just to be sure) You don't need to worry about Spyware.

yes you probably do but good warez sites (from me personnal experience) don't last very long, I've found about 4 or 5 really nice warez sites but they didn't last 6 months...

I remember the good ole' days when a game was spanned across 47 floppy size PK-Zipped files.... when it was so much trouble to install that it would have been waaaaaay worth it to just have bought the game...

I miss those days when not every computer oriented punkster who thinks he's all that could decrypt warez's complex install methods... those were good days... good days... *BLAM* AAAAaaaahhhhhhggg!!! OOPS! tooo much strongbad I guess...
