lanparty nf4 pci-e question....

This may seem a bit welp, excuse my politically correctness, retarded, but would the nf4 sli-dr run a standard pci video card? And another thing just to keep it to one thread, would the mobo boot w/o the pci-e period. The reason why i asked these rather outrageous questions is this, i got my ram, mobo, and cpu, corsair 1gig kit, nf4 sli-dr, 64 3500+ venice, and a 450 watt antec, but wont have my pci-e graphics card/cards for a month or so, i just wanted to test just to make sure none of my components were dead, which leads to this thread lol, i tried installing all and i get nothing, not even the mobo fan cranks, all that i can see is the standby led, and thats it. This isnt my first pc that ive built, but by no means am i a pro or anything. I'm almost positive that my front panel stuff is all hooked up right, I've tried and played around with combos with it, just in case, all the jumpers seem to be correct, cmos etc, ive even cleared and gave it a shot, still nada, could this be a bad processor? ive tried the memory in this pc and it ran fine, power supply as well(although will probably upgrade to a 500 enermax or something when i get the sli cards) Comments & suggestions and questions are most welcome

Even if it was bad processor, the mobo fan should be working. And error beeps should be heard. The fact that you can't get any noise from your MB could mean two things: either mobo or PSU look suspicious. Can you get another PSU just to test and see what would happen.
And as for the second question - I'm not familiar with the NF4SLI chipset, but afaik you should be able to use a PCI video with your mobo...

Good luck

After a bajillion times re assembling the thing, come to find out, it was TWO screws on the case tray that were disagreeing with me and shorting out my mobo, which was a big relief for me =)
