There are two pins in the motherboard, where you connect the power switch of the case. Since you won't have the motherboard in the case, the easiest way to power it up is to use a screw-driver to close the circuit briefly, so the mother-board will start up. But you must be sure which pins you have to use, because there are several in the same block (reset, IDE led, power led...)
