This has been asked before, but what is your favorite audio player and why?

Winamp, with Dee 1.2 for DSP. It sounds better than any EQ settings I can set in ANY program. I hook it up to my stereo, and have a random playlist of 3000+ songs constantly playing. The CPU usage is low enough that I lose only a point or two on UD.

QCD all the way. Nothing can beat this one. It's been my default audio player since October 2002. And I do not intend to change it (with winamp I was trying a new player every week).

WinAMP. With the plugin for higher-quality MP3 sound, combined with the external things which link to WinAMP like StatBar and Trillian Pro with a plugin, it's a great program all around. I can have complete control over it, without ever looking at it.

QCD and only QCD, small, stable (even the dev versions), excellent range of plug-ins and some very cool skins. It's constantely evolving, it's creator really hear what users have to say.
With each version QCD becomes better (not like some other players... *cough*winamp*cough*) I used to change player almost every month, been using QCD since Febuary and I'm not planing to change anytime soon. |

I started out with musicmatch, and it crashed my pc all the time.I used winamp until winamp3 came out and it sucked.I think technobeast might have been the one that suggested that I try out QCD, and I love it.I have not tried out another player since.

Jetaudio because it can play realaudio and quickyime files and many others,it can burn cd's,and well because of all the features...the only thing it needs is more skins and the ability to play audio and video streams,if it had this,it would be the perfect player!!

I use Winamp 2.81. I dumped Winamp 3 when development halted. I don't want to "upgrade" to newer versions, I use BSPlayer for video and I don't want another program messing with video files.
