Do you have what it takes to be a DJ?

Yes if you have heard our radio streaming you may realize that it might be fun to sign up and put on your own little jam sessions or shows when you have time.

If you feel like you would like to be part of the PCTT DJ crew and you meet the following requirements please send me a PM. Keep in mind we do want people who would be willing to do at least one show a week.. for fun. Show can be from 1 to 4 hours depending on what you want to do. Just something to keep in mind.

Requierements:

• Winamp 2.x + Shoutcast DSP Plugin installed.
• At least 500 various MP3's.
• A Broadband connection (DSL, Cable, etc, - 128k Upstream a must)
• A headset Microphone (yes you will need to talk while DJing)

We are limiting the amount of DJ's we will be having.. so if you feel up to the challenge please let me know. Its all about having some fun... and enjoying some groovy tunes

Problem is.. that if you dont have a headset with a mic.. it will pick up every sound when you try to talk.. which doenst work and sounds really wretched.. thats why we stress having a headset mic.. that way it always works rigiht..

addendum: Later this summer I'll be getting a sweet condenser microphone I'm sure that qualifies, right?

Well it doesnt have to be 4 hours. It can be just 1 Just letting you know that when you DJ it needs to be at least 1 full hour.. that is really only 12 songs or so

It is Streamed through WinAmp using a Shoutcast DSP Pluging...
so I'm pretty sure you would need WinAmp to do it.....

if you go directly to www.shoutcast.com , there is a shoutcast clent available for *nix

Download the latest version of the SHOUTcast Broadcasting Tools for Mac OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD

BTW, i think you got a bum link on the shoutcast pluging Cirga, best go to the above address if you want to be a dj, also , get the server software, as this way we can 'audition' you without interupting anyones sceduled broadcast, and its much more convienient for all concerned.

Installed realplayer for something else, now when i hit the radio link. realplayer kicks in, so that something else that can be used for playback
