How to connect to our IRC channel.

Our IRC channel is located on the irc server: irc.p2pchat.net.

Our channel on the IRC server is: #pctechtalk.com

You can use several different IRC clients to use when connecting to the IRC server. To list a few:

If you have any questions please ask. And come on by and request some songs if you like from our DJ's who are on live!

Thanks for the links,just what i needed,a few questions,wich one of these is the easiest to handle for a newbie on irc,pref. a free one.I'm currently using mIRC,was the first one i found on a google,but you,ve got to pay for it after 30 days,works ok though,haven't figured everything out but that will come with time.

All of those mentioned are free. My first script I ever used was Excursion. I'm now using Invision. Just try each one out and see which one you like the best.

Actually you dont have to register mIRC. It asks you to donate to register it.. but if you dont it will just pop up a browser window once every 15 days to ask for your donation. I have always used mIRC its simple and easy..

If you want to use lots of nifty scripts then go with Invision or Excursion. They are both free too

Ok..RipperRoo went through the logs, it was a Net Split...it happens all the time...not your fault...just have to connect again.

you were the victim of something known as a netsplit, it happens when one of the many pc's making up the irc network we use crashes, taking all the users connected to it off the network.
here is a snipit from my logs of the event (i was lucky enough to be on a server that wasnt effected) :

Hey all I lost everything off my pc last nite so now I dont have mIRC ...Invision

I did manage to get mIRC but I need Invision to run it? any help at all would make me chipper . thanks

P2Pchat cant be a little tricky to get on using trillion, make sure you got the port set to 6667, if your still not able to get on, just hit the tech chat link on the home page and join via java

Run Trillian:
Main window > right click IRC button (little white circle @ bottom) > Choose Connection Manager > Click Add IRC

In IRC Server Manager:
servername : irc.p2pchat.net
port : 6667

Personal Information tab:
nick : your choice

Perform Buffer tab:
enter in text field : /join #pctechtalk.com
check 'On connection, perform these commands

Click Create and Connect

For more settings:
Connection Manager > Choose Account > Preferences
