not sure on weather to make the 64 bit jump

ok im building a new pc for my uncle and he just wants one that is better than mineso i have agreed and i have been looking at some specs and heres what i was thinking

case: Ebuyer Extra Value Dracula S-313BB Black Body - Chrome Front & Black Panel: £40

Now, i am unsure of weathe rit is worth jumping to 64 bit yet what do you guys think ?

my only other worry is the graphics card how well do the 9600 xts perform ?

if i am going to stick with the 64 bit i need to get a fan also and i duno were to start i have looked but nothing seems to impress ??

Just in general how does the setup look to you guys ??

I think the setup looks good but as far as the jump to the 64 are there that many things out there right now that utilize the 64 yet?

I would try to find any of the new nForce4 mobos - the DFI mobo with nForce 4 looked great. Just in case you need an opinion of course .
And as for the video card - I am NVidia fan so 6600, 6800

as far as the jump to 64 bit the same processor 32 bit is only £8 cheaper so i thought why not go 64 bit.

still need a good cpu fan

Linux can handle the 64 bits, I think there is no common 64 bits windows version around yet. Thus you will be using the 64bits CPU in 32bits emulation mode. Then it's still faster, but of course you don't pull anything out of the cpu...

Might as well get the 64bit, most of the better running 32bits are all 64s now, the new intel socket, and amd is pretty much done with the xp and basically concentrating on the 939.

windows x68_64 needs to mature still I think, but a 64bits processor won't harm. If you have a decent OS you can even benefit from the extra bits (that also allow you to cross the 4G memory limit)
