Question Power Supply?

I have just ordered the components for building myself a PC, i am getting a MSI K7N2 motherboard, AMD 2500XP Barton, Geforce TI 4800 128MB, a Gig of RAM and a 80 gig seagate hard drive. The case that i have ordered comes with a 350W power supply.

Will the 350W power supply be ok or will i need something better?

I know everybody here says the more power the better but if you are not planning on adding a bunch of other things to your system that power supply should be plenty. I just built my system and it has a 350 watt supply and i haven't had any problems yet.

I have a good quality 300W PSU with:

AMD XP2000+
GeForce3 Ti200
HDD Seagate Barracuda 40 GB 7200 rpm
DVD-ROM LG 16x
DVD+-R/RW Sony DRU500A

Everything runs fine, and the voltage is at optimum level. But before I had a 220W PSU and no problems either! So I believe that the quality of the PSU is more important that the numbers itself...

Generally cheap power supplies (even 500watters) are garbage..

If anyone wants dual fan 500watt PSU I will sell you them all day for $25 !

You would be better off throwing $50 at a decent Enermax or Sparkle PSU. It will last you for many years to come and will serve you better than any cheapo PSU.
