XP SP2 Toshiba M35 no web access?

I'm going to fling a new Toshiba Satelitte Laptop M35 -355 against the wall! I cannot access the web unless I use AOL. Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer won't open anything but Google. I can't access Microsoft Update, I get an Error number: 0x80072EE2. I have tried every freaking fix they suggest with no success. I called Toshiba and the twit said "Yeah, there's a problem but I don't have an answer for you." I also can't use the wireless connections. This is driving me nuts! Please help me! Thanks.
