i am a novice and learning as much as i can day by day as i have a great interest in pc's but i can not uninstall nortons internet security & antivirus (TRIAL) i have tried the simple way (start,control panel,add/remove programs and also tried to delete it from the c drive but i get a warning message that if i delete i could effect other programs.This is a pain ive now got zonealarm and A.V.G and i do not want to purchase nortons full version.As norton was pre-loaded when i bought my pc it seems to have its fingers in all the pies.can anyone HELP plz.....

HELP uninstall norton trial 2004
There must be someone who is an
that can help me.Im going to and going to if i cannot get rid of norton.I feel that norton are at me.Please someone help there must be others who are as as me.

Just delete the Symantec folder....if you've uninstalled it. Remove/unselect any Symantec/Norton link you see in your startup list StartMenu->Run->msconfig .... Startup tab. And in Services tab too. This should do the trick at least partially.

Thanks but theres no way of uninstalling 2004 trial when i took it out of services i had a message saying that my configeration will not allow windows to run correctly.Like i said it has its fingers in all my pies. I will not give in to norton though

Try running this version of SymNRT I was the one that posted the link before and right after I posted it norton disabled the tool totally. So meh had to hunt out a final version.
If this still doesnt work use spybot and hijackthis to disable all norton programs reboot then do start>run>regedit and delete anything by symantec or norton that you can find and it will let you. Then use hijackthis to delete the symantec folder and files etc on startup with the misc options. If you still cant remove it pull out a hammer from the tool box and smash your hard drive cuz ITS IMPOSSIBLE!
