Just Wondering about SP2

i have read alot of things about SP2 for windows xp and alot of the articles that i have read said that it wasnt really a big fix and in some cases that it caused more problems than it fixed and i was just wondering what exactly is wrong with it and is it safe and alright to put it on a computer????

It made a mess with some apps at its initial release. The mess was later fixed by newer versions of the apps - Nero, some Antivirus, etc. That's why it got the bad reputation. But otherwise you would probably be safer if you install it.
I don't trust it, but don't let that stop you - I don't trust anything M$ related so .
