Help with W32.SOBER.0@MM

Hi,

My cousin has this virus on his comp and it has messed up his internet. He can connect but no web pages are displayed on ie or firefox, ftp doesnt work either. He uses norton and the norton is flashing saying urgent response needed. he clicks on it and it told to use live update but it doesnt work cuz the internet doesnt work. I went and got the removal from norton.com and scanned his PC but it said W32.SOBER doesnt exist on this PC.

Doesnt anyone have any idea how to remove it? any programs? this is quite urgent cuz he needs to access his work for his GCSE exams coming up.

Thank you very much

James

I suggest you to reinstall the latest service pack for your OS (Windows XP?) and then all critical Windows Updates.
