i have just f disked and reinstalled windows xp pro now explorer exe keeps crashing is there a fix

have you tried running norton windoctor? Perhaps some reference is screwed up...

the ActiveX/COM thinghies are safe to ignore, they are always a mess. Just let norton clean up the shit, see/hope it helps.

Looks to me that you have 2 versions of IE installed..cross installed.
Reinstalling SP2 will install IE6 & might fix the problem.

I wonder how you got IE 6..you can't download it..it only comes from SP2..if you didn't install it..must be an Update that added some parts of it.
I a few days ago, made an ISO for Rasta of IE 5.5...if you need it..if you can't download it...let me know & we can find a way to send it to you...through IM maybe.

looks like you got to do a complete format on your hardive and then install win XP with SP2.
next time you get any probs, maybe try System Restore, to resolve matter..
