Update question

When i update Windows XP where does it temporarily put the updates when it downloads them??? i use to know but now i just cant find it. i know where they are installed too but i just cant figure out where the install files are temporarily put..

It puts them in a C:\WUTemp folder where c:\ can be any drive letter (which Win decides is OK with space). After installation is complete it deletes the updates from there. You have to manually copy the content of the folder while Windows installs the updates.

WindowsUpdate v4 (Windows 98, 2000, 2003) store them in "C:\Program files\WindowsUpdate\V4" and some folder inside. I don't remember where WindowsUpdate v5 (XP) stores them.
