how to install updates later
hi i have winxp pro with sp2 installed
how do i download updates for this to my computer and install later because i have installed winxp a few times and downloaded updates 2 many times 2 count i have dial up so i cant afford to download 2 many times. PS where does it copy the files to Dir? thx |

Hi... usually when it downloads updates they are found in c:\WUTemp folder (Windows Update temporary) - For Windows XP SP2, the installer is stored in a sub-folders under %Windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download. THe bad thing is that it deletes the updates after it installs them. You can either copy the folder while the update is still installing or just read this article from M$ on how to download Windows Updates from Microsoft Catalog: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;323166
