I think somewhere like C:\scandisk.log

try looking around in C:\, D:\, etc.

Hiya section31
Just so we're clear on this, Exactly what OS are you running there and how are you executing the scandisk command? From a dos prompt? Bootable floppy?

Using xp.
well i've tried it both ways, cmd prompt and through the gui. But I was wondering where I can get the log of the verbose output.

To tell you the truth I remember looking at the log a long time ago, I just don't remember where its at.

doing it from the cmd prompt just gives you this.

maybe you should check the system logs.

Look for it somewhere in the administrative tools in configuration panel.
