IE stuck .. Page Cannot Be Displayed
I've checked all settings .. OE is receiving mail .. Yahoo Messenger is working fine .. I have four computers on a router with DSL, the other three can surf and go anywhere they want on IE .. all I get when I type in an address is "The Page Cannot Be Displayed".
I have run several virus and spyware scans and I have removed anything that might be causing a problem. I have emptied all the temporary internet files and cookies. I have cleaned the registry of all entrys found relating to the virus/spyware. Any chance anyone has had this problem? Anyone have any clues as to what is wrong? |

When I clicked on the link in my email that you had responded ... IE opened .. showed the corrent URL in the address line .. then below it says in big letters "The page cannot be displayed" .. I clicked the link in the body of the text "Detect Network Settings", the status bar showed the URL address and when it was done, the same page appeared .. at the bottom of the text there was a message "Cannot find server or DNS Error".
I hope this answered your question because I don't understand what it means. Thank you for responding and for any help you can give me. |

usually when i get this it means a LAD connection error or my firewall is blocking the link. How is yuor e-mail opening up are talking about when you have an error and MS offers to send them a report? If so just don't send them the report I never do!

I never send reports in either.
Your thoughts were on the right track. I fixed it. Answer: LSPFix In all the programs I have been running trying to remove all spyware programs and any viruses that may have been there .. they all detected the removal of lsp.dll file. It would not delete because "it was currently being used". I finally run across a file ... LSPFix.exe (Layered Service Provider" .. the program repairs LSP stacks damaged by buggy or improperly removed LSP software (which I think was Incredifind). I am so excited ... I fixed it. I do thank you for your response. |
