Router Networking Problem
We have two older PCs networked through a wireless Linksys router. The first is a 200 MHz PC running Win98. The second is a 466MHz PC running either Win98 or Win2000 (by swapping plugable HDDs). Networking from Win98 to Win98 works fine. But when the second PC has the Win2000 HDD installed transfers are extremely slow. The hardware is the same in both cases except for swapping the HDD. How can the transfer speed be improved?

I think win2000 is stuggling with the user rights. Do you have long delays when trying to only view the other computer or its files?

Hey tomg you could you some file sharing software like DC++ its a little slow to hash files but will be quicker in the long run for transfering files between your PC's.
