Router or Computer problem?
I barely got DSL for the first time, been on dial up for years now and i'm wondering all sorts now.
I barely got a router, the WRT54G and i really don't know how to work it. I logged into the router by typing the Gateway IP and i get the settings...my internet is on PPPoPE btw with password and username already in. Anywho, i try applying changes and it goes to "Cannot Display Page" on IE and for Firefox it keeps asking fo rhte password. The password is still set to default "admin" and i haven't messed with it or anything....wat's wrong? DSL Modem = Westell Wirespeed Router = Linksys 54 G PC = XP Sp2 Browsers: Maxthon, IE, Firefox |

It sounds like you need to get in contact with your service provider, to confirm your settings for the router, As I believ it should be set to PPP/ATM, as the config you mentioned above seems right for the LAN not the WAN.
As for making ammendmets on the Gateway IP, try clearing out the cookies from your machine and try to log on relavent IP (eg 192.168.0.1) All the best..
