Purchasing an ADSL modem, suggestions please

Hi guys,

have been using a Netgear DG824m for a while now, only the other day it blew up.. a little black thing, looks like a sweetie, decided to leak and cause havoc.. I suspect the rest of the box is ok and if that sweetie can be changed it should run fine.

now the question is, I managed to get a hold of a Buffalo AirStation G54 Wireless Router for free from my brothers work, only it hs no modem built in, Can anyone suggest a modem that would work with this ? something relatively cheap that works throuh a standard network cable and not those rubbishy USB ones.. im currently using Freeserves old stingray green modem.. alcatel if i remember correct... yuck.

Would appreciate the help.. also ill post up some pics of the old unit and if anyone could tell me wether anything can be salvaged, it has a wireless card inside but no idea how i would use it ...

anyway.. suggestions please

KF
