Wireless scanning

I have an HP Officejet v40 All-In-One printer/fax/scanner and I have conficgured it to allow my laptop to print wirelesslyon my network but I cannot get it to scan wirelessly. I have configured the firewall so that port 21 is open but no success. When I connect it the laptop to the printer via USB it shows it as being on port //./Dot4Scan0. Is what I am trying to do even possible?

It's not that simple I think.... printers are output devices.. while scanners are input. However Google searching for "scanner sharing" returned ~THIS~ software. May as well be your answer.

Good luck

I haven't seen this before!
When you use USB it is not network device, and with wireless it is!
If it works pls tell us, it will be interesting!
