Don't worry. I'm sure there's an answer. Just some patience and analysis needed probably. A package analyzer to check what exactly blocks the internet (PHP yes, but is it any kind of outgoing or incoming traffic that blocks the PC, any firewall that might be crashing on such paket, etc, etc). I'm not sure what exactly this is, but if you try to provide some more info - any kind that you think would help, it would be better for one that has experienced such or similar problems to guide you to an answer or at least finding the reason.
Again... good luck |

hmmmm...i have a similar thing but not quite as seveer...
what do you use to connect to the internet? When i close emule and turn off my pc it kills my dns - i cant go to any webpage but my adsl is still connected according to my router - ive come to the conclusion that my poor router cant handle the requests when there is no pc at the end of the ip to deal with them. Im wondering if yours maybe a similar problem?

did you really mean PHP or P2P? and how do you mean PHP? As websites or serving them yourself?
Can you please elaborate a bit on what exactly you are doing when it happens?

I wonder if it has anything to do with your firewall if you have one? I know that sometimes P2P programs continue to try and connect to your computer after you have shut the program off and your firewall will sometimes block all internet access due to this. This is just an idea but could be a reason.

Checked for viruses on your computer? I had this problem once, whenver i loaded up a p2p program, my connection would just die after 5 min.

Do you know that Windows XP SP2 will throttle down your connections if it detects too many connection requests not answered? (and that's exactly what P2P do, try to connect to as many sources as it can find, all at once). Search for a file called "EvID4226Patch212-en.zip", but use at your own risk!
