Wireless File Transfer Problems

Hello PCTT,

I am having problems communicating with my Laptop. I cannot seem to access any of the networked files on my laptop. My Laptop is wireless and im using an ADSL Belkin Wireless Router/Modem. They are both under the same Workgroup. Both running XP Home - SP2. I could access it when it was wired so im guessing i need to change some settings for my router and or my Laptop.

Cheers in Advance,

JT

greffov will become famous soon enough
your router is probably preventing you from reaching your internal networked computers. This is quite cool, since if it didn't, it would mean that each idiot on the street (or your neighbours ) could reach your machines and perhaps copy some files.

Can you "see" it on the network & can you access shared files on the other computers from the laptop? Is the Windows firewall off on the laptop? For each new connection, it's on by default.
