A networking question
Ok, here is the problem:
I and a friend of mine want to play a computer game against each other, BUT the game is Soldier of Fortune( the first one), and playing online is kinda tricky, unless you go and by the game in a store ( I beg before the people who condemn piracy not to sound their voices in this thread). So I was thinking along the line of tricking bouth of our PCs to see each other like they are on a local network. so how can I do this???? |

The only problem with VPN's is u need a compatible router and ISP some do not support it
Plus unless u hav a broadband connection its not really worth it.Tho cpugeniusmv is rite the only way i could see of doin that is VPN, otherwise take ur PC to each others houses, get a crossover cable and play on a LAN much easier, faster and cheaper!

I have done this on a VPN that game will not be worth playing with on it. Trust me on this one I have StarCraft on a VPN and it was horrible and is very low graphics. We were both on a Cable connection and it was bad. I would agree with Pasty on this one just have a Lan party.
