LO There!
Bluetooth Serial Adapter - out soon/now

Those of you who do not have access to USB (or other common Bluetooth interface) can now use your serial port to connect to your devices.

This is a Bluetooth 1.1 adapter that is connected to a PC's 9-pin serial port. It can connect to devices supporting Bluetooth such as PDAs, notebook computers, cellular phones, as well as devices such as other PCs that use a CSA adapter. Supported protocols are General Access, Service Discovery, and Serial Port. Power is suppplied from the RS-232C port or AC adapter

The Bluetooth Serial Adapter is something i will be looking out for, which for me, would be more useful than another usb/hub hanging out of a laptop.

Very cool there Lo good to see you around too mate!

The thing I thought was funny.. is that it said:

It is officially Open Price, but indicators suggest it should cost around 22,100 yen.

I know thats probably not alot of cash in the states... but goodness it sure sounds like a lot.

Yes, it does sound like a lot... but there's currently just over 200 Yen to the £, so that works out at about £110. At current exchange rates, that's just under $200.

Given you guys in the US get kit cheaper than we do over here, I reckon you'd probably be picking those up for about $130-$150.

It's a good idea, too. It'll help make those poor unused serial ports feel needed again
