HELP with adsl router/modem

thankyou to all that helped me yesterday it was much appreciated. But, I've still got a few problems. As I said yesterday, have a Dynalink RTA220 ADSL router/modem. I connected it to the ethernet port at the back of the router, and I put the other one into the LAN port. Followed the instructions in the manual, probably about 6 times, formatted 3 times, hoping that starting from scratch might help. But no go. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. Step by step instructions of what to do please. I do everything that it says in the manual, and when I launch the browser and type in the routers default IP address to bring up the routers console window, nothing happens. And that's as far as I've got. I've had to put in my 56k modem to come and ask you guys, as I'm totally stuck. Thanks again in advance for any help and advice you can offer. o/s 98se.

Really there are a few things to check:

1. R u gettin a power light on the router?
2. R u getting line sync with the router plugged into the line? Generally denoted by a light at the front of the box?
3. If using XP has your computer detected a new LAN connection?

If you get a no to any of these it maybe that the router itself is faulty or in the case of number 2 your adsl is not enabled or is not functioning? If any do apply you may consider contacting the manufacturer or place where u bought it from
