As you may recall, we recently reported that Ben Affleck might be looking to star in DIE HARD 4.0 as John McClane's son. Well, now those rumors can be put to rest and replaced by another rumor that I consider to be a bitch slap to The Benster.

Before I get into all that, though, a little back story first. Bruce Willis was currently filming ALPHA DOG under director Nick Cassavetes (THE NOTEBOOK) when Cassavetes ran out of money for the picture. Complicating matters are a feud between the studio behind the picture, New Line, and the movie's producer Sidney Kimmel and the fact that the real life person the movie's based on, infamous criminal Jesse James Hollywood, has been caught and will soon go to trial. As such, the movie will have to be rewritten and possibly won't get released until after the trial is over. In other words, the movie pretty much got shitcanned.
