Unhappy CPU Upgrade Prob on ASUS P4P800...HELP!

I got a HT Intel P4 3.0Ghz, 1Mb, 800 Prescott CPU to upgrade from my P4 2.4Ghz on my Asus P4P800 mobo.
All the fans and drives seem to fire up and spin, but no video. Oh and no beeping either.
After about 20 seconds or so, everything just turns off.
Took CMOS battery out and used clear jumper. No progress...
I tried switching around everything. Video Card is an ATI Radeon 9800XT. Does the same thing switched with an XFX 6800XT card. Took out floppy, memory card readers, and 2nd DVD drive.
4-pin power is plugged in. Copper block (liquid system) plugged in securely as CPU fan. I even switched to a regular CPU fan. 2X 1Gig sticks of Kingston HyperX dual channel still in new condition (in blue slots of course).
Everything is in order.
When I switch back to the 2.4 CPU PC boots fine and runs windows and everything.
The strangest part. I install the upgrade CPU in an old, no-namer Chaintech mobo just for kicks and it boots and seems to recognize the 3.0ghz hyper-threading CPU on it.
I thought the Asus mobo can support the CPU.
Any ideas? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried updating the bios? Alot of the heavy weight processors at the time required a bios update. This was the case when I had my p4p800 and 2.8ghz p4 chip.
