motherboard query

Anyone know what the top of the line motherboard is right now? I am about to build a new rig but I do not keep up with all this anymore and just wondering if you all knew? My mobo that I am running now is Asus P4s533. I really like the Asus mobo's.

ASUS, Abit, Epox - all sound good to me. Top of the standards met imho.

A difficult decision right now! AMD platform is waiting for the new nForce 4 chipset (PCIe, SLI, 939 and 754 versions). Intel platforms are waiting for the new Intel 925XE chipset with 1066 FSB (266 MHz x 4). I would wait a month and see if the new chipsets are released. Even if you don't get the newest (and most expensive) you can get the previous greatest at a much better price .

I will do that when I get it up and going. All I am waiting on is my case. All of my other parts have come in. I went with the 3 Ghz prescot cpu. 1 gig of 3200 ddr ram. and of course my FX 5950 ultra. Will be getting the 10,000 RPM serial drives when I can afford them. When I get this together I will post back.
